BLAST OFF: Launch into a Kingdom Lifestyle!

aCTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS. 

We’ve all heard that saying, but what does it really mean for us? For our kids? For the families in our community? Well, for starters, it’s about more than just learning Bible stories – it’s about taking what we learn and living it out in our lives every day. BLAST OFF VBS isn’t just a theme; it’s a call to action.

This year, we’re combining the thrill of space exploration with the adventure of living out God's Word. Just like astronauts prepare to launch into space, we’re preparing to launch into a kingdom lifestyle that reflects Jesus’ love. Through Bible stories, worship, interactive activities, small group discussions, and galactic games, kids will learn to live as Jesus did—living with purpose, love, and faith. In Romans 12:2, Paul writes: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing, and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2, NIV)

As we explore what it means to be transformed and launched into God’s Kingdom, we’ll encourage kids to think beyond the world’s standards. Just like astronauts break free from gravity, we’re called to break free from the norms of this world and live a life that reflects God’s Kingdom here on Earth.
In a world that can often be broken and divided, we have an incredible opportunity to show the world what it looks like to live as Kingdom people. We invite you to join us on this journey as we launch into the mission of sharing God’s love through our actions!

Imagine a week where kids not only hear about Jesus’ love but also learn to express that love through their actions. We will look at the life of Jesus, His teachings, and the way He demonstrated love, forgiveness, service, and kindness to those around Him. By the end of VBS, our kids will walk away with tangible ways to launch into a kingdom lifestyle—through loving like Jesus, praying with faith, forgiving others, serving with joy, and showing kindness to everyone they meet.

MONDAY

Bottom Line: Love one another.

Our journey begins with a powerful example of humility and service—Jesus washing His disciples' feet. This day will challenge kids to practice love through action, showing them that true love means serving others, just like Jesus served us.

TUESDAY

Bottom Line: Forgive one another.

Day two will focus on God’s incredible love for us, which empowers us to forgive others. Kids will learn that forgiveness isn’t just a suggestion, but a Kingdom lifestyle choice that brings healing and unity to our relationships.

WEDNESDAY

THURSDAY

Bottom Line: Pray for one another.

Bottom Line: Serve one another.

On day four, kids will explore the Lord’s Prayer and discover the importance of praying for others. They’ll learn how to intercede for friends, family, and even strangers, launching them into a deeper understanding of prayer as a way to build God’s Kingdom.
On our final day, we’ll talk about the early church, which served and cared for each other in powerful ways. Kids will learn how to live out this Kingdom lifestyle by serving others—whether through actions, time, or resources—and how these actions create a community rooted in love.
