MARCH 12 CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE

Hello Mountain Life!
I have good news: God is in control, He loves us VERY much, and and prayer changes things!

In light of the coronavirus, and especially with the recent gathering rules in place from our communities we have a lot of people wondering: Will we be having church on Sunday?

The answer is, OF COURSE!

However, due to Eagle County's ban on public gatherings over 50 people and Roaring Fork School district's school building use restrictions, we will NOT BE HAVING SERVICES ON-SITE THIS SUNDAY AT ANY LOCATION. All Mountain Life services will be ONLINE at https://mountainlife.church.

This weekend, we've got a powerful and encouraging Word for you, plus we've got Jadon Lavik in the house! You don't want to miss this... what a treat to have him lead us in worship this weekend.

We need to hear God’s word and worship with His people now more than ever.

As we discussed this past Sunday (check out the message "faith or fear" here) there seems to be a lot of fear in our world right now. But we know who's in charge, and we trust that our God is bigger than any virus. We believe that God wants to use this time of uncertainly in our nation to reach many people with His radical message of hope, assurance and unconditional love. And as far as Mountain Life goes, we want to be a part of that, even on the forefront of it. In light of all that is happening, Mountain Life is more determined than ever to reach and disciple as many people as possible as quickly as possible.

So, please join us for church this Sunday. Join us in your homes, at the coffee shop, in your car, on your TV, but just join us. And make sure to let your friends, co-workers, and neighbors know that they should tune in to hear a message of hope for everyone. If you plan to gather to watch with friends or family members, please take the precautions outlined in the guidelines for groups interactions.

We are hard at work right now adding some interactive features to our online streaming service to allow you to comment, share prayer requests and interact with our pastoral staff during these live services. You can join us on our website, on the app, on facebook or on YouTube at any of our online service times:

9:00am • 10:30am • 6:30pm

We will still hold weekly small group gatherings as long as they are small in number. and high levels of precaution are taken (see guidelines for group interactions here). We also plan on implementing a network of food and grocery deliveries for those who may be shut-in or quarantined, and to strive to not just attend church but to be the hands and feet of Jesus for our communities during this time.

Let’s work together as an agent of Jesus’ Love to see the fear cast out of hearts in our communities! I believe that the Lord has given us a unique opportunity to make an impact through this crisis that could not have happened otherwise, and I for one want to make sure to make the most of the opportunity to be a light in the darkness.

1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

Much love to you all,
Pastor Nate
